{"id":9438,"date":"2025-11-30T03:26:49","date_gmt":"2025-11-30T04:26:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globaltalenthq.com\/?p=9438"},"modified":"2025-12-01T18:42:16","modified_gmt":"2025-12-01T18:42:16","slug":"us-rehearsing-airstrikes-against-venezuela-wsj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globaltalenthq.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/30\/us-rehearsing-airstrikes-against-venezuela-wsj\/","title":{"rendered":"US rehearsing airstrikes against Venezuela \u2013 WSJ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Donald Trump has reportedly threatened Nicolas Maduro with regime change in a phone call<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"98\" data-end=\"343\">The US has been rehearsing airstrikes it plans to launch in Venezuela in recent weeks, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on Saturday, citing a defense official and flight-tracking data.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"754\">President Donald Trump has accused the Venezuelan government of operating <em>&ldquo;narcoterrorist&rdquo;<\/em> cartels and on Saturday announced that the country&rsquo;s airspace would be closed to <em>&ldquo;all airlines, pilots, drug dealers, and human traffickers.&rdquo;<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"936\">The threat came amid a buildup of US naval forces in the Caribbean Sea, where, under Trump&rsquo;s orders, more than 20 alleged drug-smuggling vessels have been struck since September.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"938\" data-end=\"1305\">According to the WSJ, Trump told Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro during last week&rsquo;s secret phone call that he would consider ousting him unless he stepped down.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"938\" data-end=\"1305\">While neither side has confirmed that the conversation took place, Trump has previously denied seeking to topple Maduro by force.
