The Oslo committee has chosen \u201cpolitics over peace\u201d by overlooking President Trump, communications director Steven Cheung has said<\/strong><\/p>\n White House communications director Steven Cheung has accused the Norwegian Nobel Committee of showing political bias for failing<\/a> to award this year’s Peace Prize to US President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n In a statement posted on X on Friday, Cheung said committee members “proved they place politics over peace.”<\/em><\/p>\n “President Trump will continue making peace deals, ending wars, and saving lives,”<\/em> the official declared. “He has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of his will.”<\/em><\/p>\n This year’s prize went to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, whom the committee commended for her “tireless advocacy of democratic freedoms in Venezuela”<\/em> and efforts toward “a peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”<\/em> Machado, a former lawmaker with strong ties in Washington, has been accused by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of channeling US funds to “fascist”<\/em> anti-government groups.<\/p>\n
